Transcendental Objectivity

For the works presented in Transcendental Objectivity my focus was on the works of Immanuel Kant, his metaphysics. My assemblage pieces evoke a potential. The desire is that the visual narrative of the objects be recontexualized by the viewer. By placing together familiar (or potentially so) objects with found pieces, I attempt to create something that harkens to a representation of another possible functionality. Repurposing forgotten, mangled pieces, and combining them with somewhat recognizable objects allows me to communicate a sense of expectation. This series grew out of seismic shifts occurring within my personal life at the time.
